Some Pacnet customers have recently received hoax emails, also known as phishing emails, asking them to reply with their username and password, or personal details such as date of birth and country of residence.
The emails are coming from what appears to be legitimate Pacnet email addresses, but these emails addresses have actually been 'faked'. We can reassure all customers that the emails are not sent from our systems. The senders do not have any information about your details – they are sending to randomly generated names.
If you have received a phishing email, please disregard it and do not reply. Pacnet will never ask you to reveal your password or any other personal details in an email.
If you have already responded to a phishing email, change your password immediately using the Account Toolkit. We recommend that you choose a hard-to-guess password containing a combination of letters, numbers and symbols, at least 8 characters long.
If you have any other questions or concerns about the security of your account, please contact our Customer Service Team.
