SpamMATTERS
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is responsible for enforcing Australia's anti-spam law, the Spam Act 2003. ACMA has made available free software—a SpamMATTERS button— which enables spam to be reported to ACMA with one click of a computer mouse. Instead of using the delete key to remove spam emails, you can simply select the SpamMATTERS button to simultaneously delete your spam and report it to ACMA. This will assist ACMA in taking enforcement action against spammers. To download and install the free tool, click here. The installation of the ACMA SpamMATTERS button is straightforward and is available to users of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express. Alternative spam reporting options are available on the ACMA website at www.spam.acma.gov.au for customers using other email programs.
Any feedback you have about the operation of the software would be appreciated by ACMA. After using the software for a while, please click here to submit your feedback to ACMA. This will help to make the system more reliable and user-friendly.
