To continue providing value for money, quality solutions and high levels of customer service, Pacnet has regrettably had to introduce a processing fee on all credit card payments from 1 August 2007. This is due to the increasingly high costs associated with credit card processing.
Effective 1 August 2007, the following charges will be applied to Pacnet bill payments made by credit card:
| Card type |
Processing fee plus
applicable GST |
| Visa |
0.90% |
| Mastercard |
0.90% |
| American Express |
2.50% |
| Diners Card |
2.50% |
|
Other service providers in our field have been charging for credit card processing for some time and this is a decision we have been under increasing pressure to make. The decision was not taken lightly, as we understand the impact upon our customers.
Alternative Payment Methods
We suggest you consider some of the alternative payment methods we have available, should you wish to avoid credit card processing fees, including:
- Bank Account Direct Debit
- EFT bank transfers*
- BPAY*
- Cheque*
*Available to approved Business customers only
Advantages of Direct Debit
The simplest and least time-consuming way to ensure your Pacnet account is always up-to-date is to set up direct debit payments from your bank account each month.
By setting up a bank account direct debit, you can make sure you never forget to pay a bill and avoid any payment processing fees. Click to download a direct debit application form.
Benefits of BPAY
BPAY allows you to pay your Pacnet bill by phone or online, day or night, from anywhere in the world. Using BPAY, you can make immediate payments or schedule payments for a later date. You can also choose which account the funds to pay the bill should come from.
Contact your financial institution to register for BPAY using your phone or Internet banking facility.
